T-354 2–22.3.8 InterrogatorUnits that use the DataCORDER function are fitted with interrogator receptacles for connection of equipment todownload the recorded data. Two receptacles may be fitted; one accessible from the front of the container and theother mounted inside the container (with the USDA receptacles).2.3.9 Remote MonitoringThe unit may be fitted with a remote monitoring receptacle. This item allows connection of remote indicators forCOOL, DEFROST, and IN RANGE. Unless otherwise indicated, the receptacle is mounted at the control box location.2.3.10 CommunicationsThe unit may be fitted with a communications interface module. The communications interface module is a slavemodule, which allows communication with a master central monitoring station. The module will respond to commu-nication and return information over the main power line. Refer to the ship master system technical manual for fur-ther information.2.3.11 CompressorThe unit is fitted with a single speed reciprocating compressor.2.3.12 Condenser CoilThe unit is fitted with a 3-row coil using 7mm tubing.2.3.13 AutotransformerAn autotransformer may be provided to allow operation on 190/230, 3-phase, 50/60 hertz power. The autotrans-former raises the supply voltage to the nominal 380/460 volt power required by the base unit. The autotransformermay also be fitted with an individual circuit breaker for the 230 volt power. If the unit is equipped with an autotransformer and the Low Data Rate Communications Interface Module, the auto-transformer will be fitted with a transformer bridge unit (TBU) to assist in communications.2.3.14 Temperature RecorderThe unit may be fitted with an electronic temperature recording device.2.3.15 GuttersRain gutters may be fitted over the control box and recorder section to divert rain away form the controls. The dif-ferent gutters include standard length bolted gutters, extended length gutters, and riveted gutters.2.3.16 HandlesThe unit may be equipped with handles to facilitate access to stacked containers. These handles may include fixedhandles (located at the sides of the unit) and/or a hinged handle at the center (attached to the condenser coil cover).2.3.17 Thermometer PortThe unit may be fitted with ports in the front of the frame for insertion of a thermometer to measure supply and/orreturn air temperature. If fitted, the port(s) will require a cap and chain.2.3.18 Water CoolingThe refrigeration system may be fitted with a water-cooled condenser. The condenser is constructed using copper-nickel tube for seawater applications. The water-cooled condenser is in series with the air-cooled condenser andreplaces the standard unit receiver. When operating on the water-cooled condenser, the condenser fan can be deac-tivated by either a water pressure switch or condenser fan switch. Depending on the unit's configuration and the com-pressor discharge temperature, the condenser fan may also be activated during water-cooled condenser operation.2.3.19 Back PanelsBack panel designs that may be fitted include panels of aluminum and stainless steel. Panels may have accessdoors and/or hinge mounting.
