Tile unit will crank and rest Ihr a preset timelimit. Then, it will stop cranking, and the LED willlight indicating an overcrank failure. The AUTO/OFF/MANUAL switch will need to be set to OFF and thenback to AUTO to reset the generator control board.NOTE:If the fault is not repaired, the overcrank featurewill continue to activate.3.7,3.1 Approximate Crank Cyde Times* 15 seconds ON. 7 seconds OFF. 7 seconds ON. 7 seconds OFF. Repeat Ior 45 secondsApproximately 90 seconds total3.Z4 OVERSPEEDThis ieature protects the generator from damage byshutting it down if it happens to ruts faster than thepreset limit. This protection also prevents the genera-tor from supplying an output that could potentiallydamage appliances connected to the generator cir-cuit. Contact the nearest dealer if this failure occurs.4.1 FUSESThe generator panel's 15 amp fuse (Figure 4.1) pro-tects the DC control circuit against overload. The fllseis wired its series with the battery output lead to thepanel. If the fllse element has melted open, the enginecannot crank or start. Replace the fuse using only anidentical 15-amp replacement.The generator panel's 7.5 amp fllse protects the 12VDC accessory socket. If the fllse element has meltedopen, the 12 VDC socket will not provide power toany accessories. Replace the/ilse using only an iden-tical 7.5 amp replacement. Start the generator by moving the AUTO/OFF/MANUAL switch to the IVIANUAL position. Allowit to run for a short while and then shut it downby moving the switch to the OFF position.2. Remove the dipstick and wipe it dry with a cleancloth.3. Install the dipstick; then, remove it again. The oillevel should be at the dipstick "l_5lll" mark. If nec-essary, add oil to the "b)lll" mark only. DO NOTFILL ABOVE THE "FULE' MARK.CAUTION/_ Never operate the engine with the oil JevMbMow the "Add" mark on the dipstick. Doingthis could damage the engine.4. Install the dipstick.5. Use all season SAE 5W-30Synthetic oil. Organic break-in oil is required beforeusing sy_sthetic oil.NOTE:The unit is supplied with "break-in" oil. See the"Break-in Procedure" Section for the first requiredoil change.
