Failure to doso can cause batteries to leak, resulting in damage to surrounding items and create thedanger of fire and electrical shock.• Always make sure that the positive (+) and negative (–) poles of the batteries areoriented correctly.• Use only the types of batteries specified for use with this unit.• Charge the battery pack in an area where the temperature is between 10°C (50°F)and 35°C (95°F). Charging in areas that are very cold or exposed to direct sunlightcan cause deterioration and leaking of the battery pack.• To avoid deterioration and leaking, the battery pack is designed to discharge evenwhen you do not use the CASSIOPEIA.
