CLEANING THE BURNERS:For proper lighting and performance keep the burners clean. It is necessary to clean the burners if theydo not light although the igniter clicks, whenever there has been a severe boil over or when the flamedoesn’t burn blue.Be certain all burner knobs are in the OFF positionbefore attempting to clean the burners.The burnershave been designed for ease of cleaning.When thegrates and burners are cool, remove the grate.TheBurner Cap and the Brass Port Ring can easily belifted off.Wash these parts in hot soapy water, rinseand dry thoroughly.The Burner Caps are porcelainenamel, follow the directions on page 9 that weregiven to clean the burner grates. A bristle brush canbe used to clean out the toothed burner ports, ifnecessary. Disassembly of the Simmer Ring is notrecommended, however, it may become necessary todo so if the ports remain clogged after normalcleaning. If it is necessary to disassemble the SimmerRing from the Base, remove the Hex Nut at the topof the Simmer Ring. Clean the Simmer Ring with hotsoapy water using a soft wire or plastic bristle brushthen dry thoroughly. Re-assemble the parts using theHex Nut.After cleaning, it is important to make sure theLocating Pin on the bottom side of the Simmer Ringis properly aligned with the corresponding hole inthe Base and that the Locating Pin (see insert) in the bottom side of the Brass Port Ring is properlyaligned with the Locating Notch on the top side of the Simmer Ring. Incorrect alignment will produce apotentially dangerous flame and poor burner performance. See the illustration above.CLEANING THE IGNITERS:Be certain all burner knobs are in the OFF position before attempting to clean the igniters.
