Contrast sensitivity is typically a retinal function and adecrease can indicate an alteration of the retina. It is also decreased in certain diseases such as cataractsand chronic glaucoma.Decrease in contrast sensitivity is physiological in night vision.The acuity level of this test is constant (20/100).
