13Verifying Proper OperationWARNINGBefore operating the range, read the accompanying useand care manual completely.Before beginning the test procedure, make1)sure all range control valves are in the “OFF”position, and all burner rings, burner cap andgrates are properly positioned on the spill tray.Turn on the gas supply at the shut-off valve.2)Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet. When3)the range is first connected, the oven indicator lightflashes on and off for about 10 seconds while therange’s circuitry starts up. Wait for the light to stopflashing before going to step 4.Test the left front burner on the cooktop by pushing in4)and turning the control knob counterclockwise to theHIGH position. The knob should light when in the “ON“position. The igniter for the left front burner will sparkcontinuously. It may take up to 4 seconds for the burnerto ignite, at which time the ignitor will stop sparking.If ignition does not occur within 4 seconds, turn offthe knob, wait for at least 5 minutes to allow any gasto dissipate, then repeat this ignition test. When theburner ignites, rotate the knob counterclockwise fromHIGH to LOW to adjust the flame height progressively.When installed properly, theflame will be steady. It willalso have a sharp, blue innercone that will vary in lengthproportional to the burner size.LP gas units may have smallyellow tips at the end of theflames, which is normal.Repeat the ignition test for the5)remaining cooktop burners.Check to make sure the knobs light when in the “ON”position.After testing all the cooktop burners, turn them all off.6)Open the oven door. Test the oven light by turning on7)the light switch on the right side of the control panel.Turn on the convection fan switch. You should hear the8)convection fan, located behind the screen at the backof the oven, come on.With the oven door open, turn the oven control knob9)to the 400 degree position. Both the knob itself andthe oven ON indicator light next to the knob shouldilluminate. Within 60 seconds you should hear the bakeburner ignite below the oven floor. It should begin togive off heat.Turn the oven control knob to the10) BROIL position. Thebake burner should turn off. Both the oven control knoband the oven ON indicator light should be illuminated.Within 60 seconds the IR burner on the ceiling of theoven should ignite and begin to give off heat.Turn the oven knob to the “11) OFF” position.Installation InstructionsIf the range does not operate properly, follow thesetroubleshooting steps:Verify that the circuit breaker for the range electrical1)outlet is on and not tripped. Make sure the power cordis connected.Make sure the gas supply valve is in the on position2)and that the main gas valve to the building is open.Check to see if the oven burner light flashes on and3)off once a second.
