13Installation InstructionsReinstalling the Oven DoorWARNINGto avoid personal injury or damage to the door fromit falling off its hinges:• Make sure that the notch on the bottom of each hingerests on top of the lower lip of each hinge receptaclebefore attempting to open the oven door.• Rotate the hinge locks toward the front of the rangeimmediately after installation of the door.• On double ovens, install the top door first to reducethe chance of damaging the lower door during instal-lation.1. Grasp the oven door on opposite sides and hold it at a15° angle from the front of the oven. Slide the hingesinto the hinge openings, resting the bottom of the hingearms on the hinge receptacles. Continue to hold thedoor at a 15° angle with one hand while pushing in oneach of the bottom corners of the door. Push until thenotch on the bottom of each hinge slips over the lowerlip of each hinge receptacle.2. Lower the door to the fully opened position.3. Rotate the two hinge locks toward the oven.4. Slowly and carefully open and close the door complete-ly to ensure that it is properly installed.Notch on bottomof hingeLower lip ofhinge receptacleVerifying Proper Operation1. For stainless steel ovens, peel off the protective layerof plastic that covers the stainless steel surfaces.2. Remove any packaging from inside the oven(s).3. Slide the oven racks onto the supports inside the ovenchamber(s) according to the use and care manual.4. Turn on power to the oven at the circuit breaker or fusebox.5. Set the clock according to the use and care manual.NOtEFor double ovens, test oven operation for both the upperand lower ovens.6. Press the BAKE key on the control panel. The defaultbake temperature should appear on the display.7. Press StARt. After approximately three (3) minutes,the lower heating element should glow red through theglass.8. Press CANCEL/SECURE.9. Press the BROIL key on the control panel. The defaultbroil temperature should appear on the display.10. Press StARt. After approximately three (3) minutes,the upper heating element should glow red. On someovens the element is behind the glass panel on theceiling of the oven.11. If the oven does not operate properly, follow thesetroubleshooting steps:• Verify that power is being supplied to the oven.• If power is being properly supplied, turn off power atthe circuit breaker or fuse box and check the electricalconnections.• Turn on power and repeat the above heating test.• If the appliance still does not work, contact DacorDistinctive Service at (877) 337-3226.
