FOLLOW ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONSMARKED ON THE TV RECEIVER.1 Read all of these instructions.2 Save these instructions for later use.3 Unplug this television equipment from thewall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquidcleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp clothfor cleaning.4 Do not use attachments not recommended bythe television equipment manufacturer as theymay result in the risk of fire, electric shock orother personal injury.5 Do not use this television equipment nearwater, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl,kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet base-ment, or near a swimming pool, or the like.6 Do not place this television equipment on anunstable cart, stand, or table. The televisionequipment may fall, causing serious injury toa child or adult, and serious damage to theequipment. Use only with a cart or stand rec-ommended by the manufacturer, or sold withthe television equipment. Wall or shelfmounting should follow the manufacturer'sinstructions, and should use a mounting kitapproved by the manufacturer.6A An appliance and cart combination should bemoved with care. Quick stops, excessiveforce, and uneven surfaces may cause theappliance and cart combination to overturn.7 Slots and openings in the cabinet and the backor bottom are provided for ventilation and toensure reliable operation of the televisionequipment; and to protect it from overheating,these opening, must not be blocked or cov-ered. The opening should never be blocked byplacing the television equipment on a bed,sofa, rug, or other similar surface. (Thisequipment should never be placed near orover a radiator or heat register.) This televi-sion equipment should not be placed in abuilt-in installation such as a bookcase unlessproper ventilation is provided.8 This television equipment should be operatedonly from the type of power source indicatedon the marking label. If you are not sure ofthe type of power supplied to your home, con-sult your television dealer or local powercompany.9 This television equipment is equipped with apolarized alternating current line plug (a plughaving one blade wider than the other). Thisplug will fit into the power outlet only oneway. This is a safety feature. If you are unableto insert the plug fully into the outlet, tryreversing the plug. If the plug should still failto fit, contact your electrician to replace yourobsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety pur-pose of the polarized plug.10 Do not allow anything to rest on the powercord. Do not locate this television equipmentwhere the cord will be abused by personswalking on it.11 Follow all warnings and instructions markedon the television equipment.12 For added protection for this television equip-ment during a lightning storm, or when it isleft unattended and unused for long periods oftime, unplug it from the wall outlet and dis-connect the antenna or cable system. This willprevent damage to the equipment due to light-ning and power-line surges.
