Troubleshooting Module-to-Module CommunicationThere are three status parameters on the HMI that aredesigned to aid in diagnosing communication problemsrelated to the IFB board These are IFBCommStatus=, ACS1DataRcvd= and ACS3 DataRcvd= and are described belowAlso refer to Figure 3, page 6IFBCommStatusThe IFB communication status parameter indicates problemswith the communication between the MicroTech III controllerand the INV, OF1, OF2 and the EVB devices via the IFB boardThere are 13 possible conditions indicated by this parameterThese are described as follows:OK: All communications related to IFB Board is OKOF2Err: Communication between the A5P board controllingOF2 and the ACS1 communication loop has been interruptedfor 65 seconds after communication had initially beenestablished Since a break anywhere in the communicationcurrent loop will result in an ACS1Err (described below) thisindicator generally suggests a defect in the A5P boardOF1Err:460/575V Unit—Communication between the A5P boardcontrolling OF1 and the ACS1 communication loop hasbeen interrupted for 65 seconds after communicationhad initially been established Since a break anywhere inthe communication current loop will result in an ACS1Err(described below) this indicator generally suggests a defect inthe A5P board208/230V Unit—Communication between the A4P boardcontrolling OF1 and the ACS1 communication loop hasbeen interrupted for 65 seconds after communicationhad initially been established Since a break anywhere inthe communication current loop will result in an ACS1Err(described below) this indicator generally suggests a defect inthe A4P boardOF12Err:460/575V Unit—Communication between both of the A5Pboards controlling OF1 and OF2 and the ACS1 communicationloop has been interrupted for 65 seconds after communicationhad initially been established Since a break anywhere inthe communication current loop will result in an ACS1Err(described below) this indicator generally suggests a defect inboth the A5P boards208/230V Unit—Communication between the A4P boardcontrolling OF1 and the A5P board controlling OF2 andthe ACS1 communication loop has been interrupted for 65seconds after communication had initially been establishedSince a break anywhere in the communication current loop willresult in an ACS1Err (described below) this indicator generallysuggests a defect in both the A4P and A5P boardsINVErr: Communication between the A4P board controllinginverter compressor (INV) and the ACS1 communication loophas been interrupted for 20 seconds after communication hadinitially been established If this indicator remains active morethan 120 seconds it generally suggests a defect in the A4PboardNOTE: A break anywhere in the communication current loopwill result in an ACS1Err (described below)ACS3Err: The ACS3 communication loop between theIFB board ACS3 connector and the EVB board has beeninterrupted for 65 seconds after communication had initiallybeen established This generally indicates a physical break inthe communication current loop wiring between the IFB boardand the EVB board, lack of power to the EVB board or a defectin the EVB boardACS1Err: The ASC1 communication loop between the IFBboard ASC1 connector and the A4P and A5P boards has beeninterrupted for 65 seconds after communication had initially beenestablished This indicator generally suggests a physical breakor interruption somewhere in the communication current loopwiring or possibly lack of power to both A4P and A5PACS13Err: The ASC1 and ACC3 communication loopsbetween the IFB board ACS1 connector and the A4P andA5P boards and between the IFB board ACS3 connector andthe EVB board have been interrupted for 65 seconds aftercommunication had initially been established This indicatesthat both of the conditions described above for ACS1Err andACS3Err existInit3Err: Proper communication was not established within65 seconds of power up between the EVB board and the IFBboard ACS3 connector Refer also to ACS3 DataRcvd belowInit1Err: Proper communication was not established within 65seconds of power up between the A4P and A5P boards and theIFB board ACS1 connector Refer also to ACS1 DataRcvd belowInit13Err: Proper communication was not established within 65seconds of power up between neither the EVB board and theIFB board ACS3 connector nor the A4P and A5P boards andthe IFB board ACS1 connector Refer also to ACS1 DataRcvdand ACS3 DataRcvd belowIFBRst: 24 VAC power to the IFB was interrupted andthen re-established causing a reset of the ACS1 and ACS3communication loopsMBErr: Communication between the MicroTech III controllerand the IFB board has been interrupted for 30 secondstrouBleshootIngwww DaikinApplied com123 OM 1141-3 • MICROTECH UNIT CONTROLLER
