SiBE041029EB Main FunctionsFunction and Control 261.10 INTELLIGENT EYE OperationOutline This function detects the presence of humans in the room with a motion sensor (INTELLIGENTEYE) and reduces the capacity when there is nobody in the room in order to save electricity.Detail 1. Detection method by INTELLIGENT EYE The sensor detects human motion by receiving infrared rays and displays the pulse waveoutput. The microcomputer in the indoor unit carries out a sampling every 20 msec. and if it detects10 cycles of the wave in 1 second in total, it judges humans are in the room as the motionsignal is ON. The sensor may detect human motion with up to 20 msec. latency.2. The motions (in cooling)★ In FAN operation, the fan speed is reduced by 60 rpm. When the microcomputer does not have a signal from the sensor in 20 minutes, it judgesthat nobody is in the room and operates the unit at a temperature shifted from the targettemperature. (cooling / dry: 1 ~ 2°C higher, heating: 2°C lower, automatic: according to theoperation mode at that time.)Note: For dry operation, the temperature cannot be set with a remote controller, but the targettemperature is shifted internally.1 sec.sampling (20 msec.)HighLowONOFFSensor output(R19471)Human detectionsignalIf the sensor detects the outputs10 times/sec. or more, it judgeshumans are in the room.Human motionONOFFReset Reset Reset20 min.ONOFFONOFFOperationOFFFan speed (+)Set speed Set speedTarget temperature(R19414)Remote controllerINTELLIGENTEYE buttonHuman detectionsignal↑ ↑ ↑within20 min.within20 min. within20 min.
