Check SiBE041434E101 Service Diagnosis5.7 Inverter Analyzer CheckCheck No.15 CharacteristicsInverter analyzer: RSUK0917CIf an abnormal stop occurs due to compressor startup failure or overcurrent output when usingan inverter unit, it is difficult to judge whether the stop is caused by the compressor failure orsome other failure (main PCB, power module, etc.). The inverter analyzer makes it possible tojudge the cause of trouble easily and securely. (Connect an inverter analyzer as a quasi-compressor instead of compressor and check the output of the inverter.) Operation MethodStep 1Be sure to turn the power off.Step 2Install an inverter analyzer instead of a compressor.Note:Make sure the charged voltage of the built-in smoothing electrolytic capacitor drops to 10VDC or below before carrying out the service work.Reference:If the terminals of the compressor are not FASTON terminals (difficult to remove the wire onthe terminals), it is possible to connect wires available on site to the outdoor unit from outputside of PCB. (Do not connect them to the compressor at the same time, otherwise it mayresult in incorrect detection.)Step 3Activate power transistor test operation from the indoor unit.(1) Turn the power on.(2) Select FAN operation with the Mode button on the remote controller.(3) Press the center of the Temp button and the Mode button at the same time.(4) Select T with the Temp V or Temp W button.(5) Press the Mode button to start the power transistor test operation.(R18322)(1) Remove the terminals fromthe compressor.(2) Connect the terminals to theterminals of the inverteranalyzer.CompressorInverter analyzerBe careful not to let the terminals (U,V,W)touch each other. Otherwise, high voltageis applied.
