9 EnglishMovement of left and right airflow flaps• For the following conditions, micro computer con-trols the airflow direction so it may be differentfrom the display.• When the indoor temperature is higher than theset temperature (HEATING OPERATION).(The air is discharged from the centre.)• During the DEFROST OPERATION when theHEATING OPERATION starts (HEATINGOPERATION). (The air is discharged from thecentre.)B.Up and down direction(Vertical airflow direction)The up and down airflow direction can be fixed atthe desired position manually.HOW TO ADJUSTING UP AND DOWN AIR-FLOWThe horizontal flaps at the air outlet are composed ofupper flaps, interlocking flaps (No.1 and No.2groups), and lower flaps.Adjust the flaps vertically by hand. It is effectivewhen the flaps are facing slightly upward for cool air,and slightly downward for warm air.In addition, the flaps are separated into No.1 andNo.2 groups, and this enables up and down airflow. This is effective for controlling the indoor tempera-ture near the air conditioner.Adjusting up and down airflow (by hand)2211Group No.The group No. is stamped on the top and backof each flap.NOTE• Operating the unit with overlapping upper, lower, and interlocking flaps and the air outlet closedmay cause dripping of condensation. Be sure notto close off the air outlet by blocking it with theupper, lower, or interlocking flaps.• Do not set the horizontal flaps too far downward. This may cause an operation failure as the airfrom the air outlet is sucked from the suction grille.Horizontal flapsHorizontal flapsUpper flapsLower flapsInterlocking flaps forgroup No.2 (×4)Interlocking flaps forgroup No.1 (×2)Upward blowVertical blow
