English 8• When the operation is switched to the HEATINGOPERATION during or after the DEFROSTOPERATION, white mist comes out from the airoutlet of the outdoor unit.(Refer to “VI.” on page 14.)• A hissing and “Shuh” sound may be heard duringthis particular operation.Regarding outside air temperature and heat-ing capacity• The heating capacity of the air conditionerdeclines as the outside air temperature falls. Insuch a case, use the air conditioner in combina-tion with other heating systems.NOTE• When a combustion appliance is used, ventilatethe room regularly.• Do not use the combustion appliance where the airfrom the air conditioner is blown directly toward it.• When the warm air stays under the ceiling andyour feet are cold, we recommend that you use acirculator (a fan to circulate the air inside theroom). For details, consult your dealer.• When the indoor temperature exceeds the settemperature, the air conditioner discharges agentle breeze (switches to whisper mode). (Theremote controller displays the airflow rate that arebeing set.)[CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PROGRAMDRY OPERATION]• This operation lowers the humidity without lower-ing the indoor temperature, and automaticallysets the airflow rate and temperature. Therefore,the remote controller does not display the airflowrate and set temperature. (The indoor tempera-ture detected when the operation button ispressed is the set temperature.)When the indoor temperature is lowered, air dis-charge from the air conditioner may stop.• If the PROGRAM DRY OPERATION is usedwhen the indoor temperature is low, frost forms onthe heat exchanger of the indoor unit. In this case,the system automatically switches to DEFROSTOPERATION for a while.NOTE• If the temperature is excessively lowered, switchto the COOLING OPERATION once, and thenstop the operation. When the temperatureincreases to a suitable level, start the PROGRAMDRY OPERATION again.Note: The PROGRAM DRY OPERATION cannotbe used when the indoor temperature is20°C or lower.[SOUND PRESSURE LEVEL]• Sound pressure level is less than 70 dB(A).AIRFLOW DIRECTION ADJUSTThere are 2 ways of adjusting the airflow direction.A.Left and right direction(Horizontal airflow direction)Press the AIRFLOW DIRECTION ADJUSTbutton to select the air direction as follow-ing.The AIRFLOW DIRECTION dis-play swings as shown the leftand the airflow direction continu-ously varies. (Automatic swingsetting)Press AIRFLOW DIRECTIONADJUST button to select the airdirection of your choice.The AIRFLOW DIRECTIONdisplay stops swinging and theairflow direction is fixed (Fixedairflow direction setting).A.
