7 Heat cell with gas burnerInstallation and operating instructions47Gas Combi UnitFloor-standing gas condensing boiler with integrated heat storage008.1543899_02 – 04/2019 – ENThe RoCon BF controller can be used to set the GCU compact tothe [Emissions measurement] function under [Full Load] and [BaseLoad]. The flue gas values are checked with a flue gas analysisdevice.Auxiliary resources▪ Flue gas analysis device.▪ Pressure meter for measuring the gas pressure.Checking and adjustmentAdhere to the following sequence!1 Check that the burner is set to the correct gas type and correctgas inlet pressure (see also Chap. 4.8.4).2 Turn the screw in the gas inlet pressure measuring connection(Fig. 4-43, item 3.3) anticlockwise by half a turn and attach themeasuring hose of the pressure meter.3 Open the gas stopcock.4 Measure the gas inlet pressure (idle pressure) and compare itwith the target value (see Tab. 12-9). Leave the measuring in-strument connected.▪ If the gas inlet pressure (resting pressure) is outside the setvalue range:Inform your gas supply company or check the pressure reducer(for liquid gas).5 Open the heating valves.6 Switch on GCU compact at the main switch.7 Start the program [Emissions measurement] on the controllerRoCon BF of the GCU compact and select the [Full Load] set-ting, but do not confirm.INFORMATIONIf the burner does not start, although the power and gassupply are properly connected and the flue gas path isfree, the cause of this error must be found and rectified(see Chap. 7.3.4).8 Connect the flue gas analysis device to the test adapter for theflue gas pipe.9 Check the flow pressure. The gas inlet flow pressure must notdrop appreciably below the resting pressure minus the pressuredrop in the gas connection hose (see Tab. 12-9). If the flow pres-sure is too low, the burner output also drops.10 If the measured flue gas values do not change any more (at theearliest 2 min after the start of the burner), measure the CO2and the O2 contents. Compare the measured values with thespecified setting values (see Chap. 7.3.1).▪ If the O2/CO2 concentrations are within the permissible values:No further measures required.▪ If the O2/CO2 concentrations are outside the permissible values:Carry out 100 % calibration and set [Drop Io-base] so that thesetting range is reached (see Chap. 7.3.4) and repeat measure-ment.11 In the [Emissions measurement] program, choose the [BaseLoad] setting, but do not confirm.12 If the measured flue gas values do not change any more (at theearliest 2 min after the start of the burner), measure the CO2and the O2 contents. 7.3.4) and repeat measure-ment.Changeover from natural gas to liquid gas1 Turn the gas/air mix setting screw (Fig. 4-43, item 3.1) to posi-tion 2.2 Change the gas type in the controller RoCon BF as follows:▪ Rotary switch in "Configuration" position .An overview is displayed.▪ Use the rotary switch to select the "Lambda-Gx" level. An overview is displayed.▪ Use the rotary switch to select the [Gas type] parameter andconfirm.▪ Use the rotary switch to select the [Liquid gas] value.▪ Confirm the changes with a brief push of the rotary switch.Change has been accepted. Jump back to previous display.3 Enter the gas type changeover on the settings type plate and inthe operating manual and confirm with your signature.4 Affix a device sticker for the gas changeover on the burner hous-ing.5 Carry out commissioning in accordance with Chap. 5.1.3. In theevent of problems when starting, see Chap. 7.3.4.More detailed explanations and possible setting values for theseparameters can be found in the "RoCon BF" controller operating in-structions.Resetting from liquid petroleum gas to natural gas1 Turn the gas/air mix setting screw (Fig. 4-43, item 3.1) to posi-tion 1.2 Change the gas type in the controller RoCon BF as follows:▪ Rotary switch in "Configuration" position .An overview is displayed.▪ Use the rotary switch to select the "Lambda-Gx" level. An overview is displayed.▪ Use the rotary switch to select the [Gas type] parameter andconfirm.▪ Use the rotary switch to select the [Natural gas] value.▪ Confirm the changes with a brief push of the rotary switch.Change has been accepted. 7.3.4.More detailed explanations and possible setting values for theseparameters can be found in the "RoCon BF" controller operating in-structions.7.3.4 Starting problems – calibrating thecombustion control, setting the burnerblower starting output and gas volumeINFORMATIONIn the event of starting problems, the starting output of theburner blower can be changed by the heating technicianand the combustion control can be recalibrated automatic-ally.More detailed explanations and possible setting values canbe found in the "RoCon BF controller” operating instruc-tions.
