Do not place objects in direct proximity of the outdoorunit and do not let leaves and other debris accumulatearound the unit. Leaves are a hotbed for smallanimals which can enter the unit. Once in the unit,such animals can cause malfunctions, smoke or firewhen making contact with electrical parts. Ask your dealer for improvement, repair, andmaintenance. Incomplete improvement, repair, andmaintenance may result in a water leakage, electricshock and fire. Do not insert fingers, rods or other objects into the airinlet or outlet. When the fan is rotating at high speed,it will cause injury. Never let the indoor unit or the user interface get wet.It may cause an electric shock or a fire. Never use a flammable spray such as hair spray,lacquer or paint near the unit. It may cause a fire. Never touch the air outlet or the horizontal bladeswhile the swing flap is in operation. Fingers maybecome caught or the unit may break down. Never replace a fuse with a fuse of a wrong ampereratings or other wires when a fuse blows out. Use ofwire or copper wire may cause the unit to break downor cause a fire. To prevent refrigerant leak, contact your dealer. Whenthe system is installed and runs in a small room, it isrequired to keep the concentration of the refrigerant, ifby any chance coming out, below the limit. Otherwise,oxygen in the room may be affected, resulting in aserious accident. The refrigerant in the air conditioner is safe andnormally does not leak. If the refrigerant leaks in theroom, contact with a fire of a burner, a heater or acooker may result in a harmful gas.Turn off any combustible heating devices, ventilatethe room and contact the dealer where you purchasedthe unit.Do not use the air conditioner until a service personconfirms that the portion where the refrigerant leaks isrepaired. Improper installation or attachment of equipment oraccessories could result in electric shock, short circuit,leaks, fire or other damage to the equipment. Be sure to use only accessories and spare partsmade by Daikin which are specifically designed foruse with the equipment and have them installed by aprofessional. Ask your dealer to move and reinstall the airconditioner. Incomplete installation may result in awater leakage, electric shock, and fire. Do not place a flammable spray bottle near the airconditioner and do not use sprays. Doing so mayresult in a fire. Before cleaning, be sure to stop the operation, turnthe breaker off or pull out the supply cord. Otherwise,an electric shock and injury may result. Do not operate the air conditioner with wet hands. Anelectric shock may result. Do not place appliances which produce open fire inplaces exposed to the air flow from the unit or underthe indoor unit. It may cause incomplete combustionor deformation of the unit due to the heat. Do not wash the air conditioner with water. If the gas leaks out andstays around the air conditioner, a fire may break out. In order to avoid electric shock or fire, make sure thatan earth leak detector is installed. Be sure the air conditioner is electrically earthed. In order to avoid electric shock, make sure that theunit is grounded and that the earth wire is notconnected to gas or water pipe, lightning conductor ortelephone earth wire. Do not place a flower vase or anything containingwater on the unit. Water may enter the unit, causingan electric shock or fire. Avoid placing the controller in a spot which can besplashed with water. Water entering the machine maycause an electric leak or may damage the internalelectronic parts. This unit is made for indoor use. The unit should beinstalled in a machine room. In case of a natural disaster and the unit getssubmerged, do not operate the unit, or otherwise amalfunction, electric shock or fire may occur. Watch your step at the time of air filter cleaning orinspection.CAUTION It is not good for your health to expose your body tothe air flow for a long time. In order to avoid injury, donot remove the fan guard of the outdoor unit. To avoid oxygen deficiency, ventilate the roomsufficiently if equipment with burner is used togetherwith the air conditioner. Do not allow anyone to climb on the outdoor unit oravoid placing any object on it. Falling or tumbling mayresult in injury. Never expose little children, plants or animals directlyto the air flow. Do not let children play on and around the outdoorunit. If they touch the unit carelessly, it may result ininjury. Never touch the internal parts of the controller.Do not remove the front panel. Some parts inside aredangerous to touch and appliance problems mayhappen. For checking and adjusting the internal parts,contact your dealer. Do not touch the heat exchanger fins. These fins aresharp and could result in cutting injuries.
