The focus under high sensible mode is comfortfeeling for the customer.The selection method of indoor units is important and has to beconsidered as the available capacity is not the same as under normaloperation. For details concerning to Hi-sensible applications, pleasecontact your installer.Available comfort settingsFor each of above modes a comfort level can be selected. It is relatedto the timing and the effort (energy consumption) which is put inachieving a certain room temperature by temporarily changing therefrigerant temperature to different values: Powerful Quick Mild Eco8. Maintenance8.1. Handling of heat source waterRequests from manufacturer Do not fail to mount a strainer (sold separately as an accessory)in the inlet pipe for heat source water intake. Do not use any water contaminated by relatively high level offoreign materials for heat source. Carry out the control of water quality without fail.Otherwise, corrosion of condenser or piping occurs or germsmay be generated. For the timing of cleaning and its method, consult with the dealeryou purchased the unit.Cleaning of the heat exchanger on the water side Scale, moss, etc will accumulate on the heat exchanger on thewater side within an air conditioner when it is used for a longtime. Clean the heat exchanger at regular intervals. If scale,moss, etc. has accumulated, the cooling and heating capacitymay decline. The safety device will be repeatedly actuatedcausing normal operation to become impossible. Increase the frequency of cleaning when the unit is used in anarea with poor water quality.Cleaning of strainer Clean the strainer in the inlet pipe of heat source water intake.8.2. Maintenance after a long stop period (e.g., at thebeginning of the season) Check and remove everything that might be blocking inlet andoutlet vents of indoor units and outdoor units. Run the pump and make sure that the water is circulating. If youoperate the pump without water circulating, the unit may bedamaged. Clean air filters and casings of indoor units(1). Refer to theoperation manual supplied with the indoor units for details onhow to proceed and make sure to install cleaned air filters backin the same position. Turn on the power at least 6 hours before operating the unit inorder to ensure smoother operation. As soon as the power isturned on, the user interface display appears.8.3. Maintenance before a long stop period (e.g., at theend of the season) Let the indoor units run in fan only operation for about half a dayin order to dry the interior of the units. Refer to "6.1. Cooling,heating, fan only, and automatic operation" on page 48 fordetails on fan only operation. Turn off the power. The user interface display disappears. Clean air filters and casings of indoor units(1). Refer to theoperation manual supplied with the indoor units for details onhow to proceed and make sure to install cleaned air filters backin the same position. If the water piping can freeze, keep operating the heat sourcewater pump, even when the unit is not operating. Remove all the water from the unit and the water piping if thepump is not used for a long time in the winter.9. Symptoms that are not air conditionertroublesFollowing symptoms are not air conditioner troubles:Symptom 1: The system does not operate The air conditioner does not start immediately after the ON/OFFbutton on the user interface is pressed. If the operation lamplights, the system is in normal condition. To prevent overloadingof the compressor motor, the air conditioner starts 5 minutesafter it is turned ON again in case it was turned OFF just before.The same starting delay occurs after the operation modeselector button was used. If "Under Centralized Control" is displayed on the user interface,pressing the operation button causes the display to blink for afew seconds. The blinking display indicates that the userinterface cannot be used. The system does not start immediately after the power supply isturned on. Wait one minute until the micro computer is preparedfor operation.Symptom 2: Cool/Heat cannot be changed over When the display shows (change-over under centralizedcontrol), it shows that this is a slave user interface. When the cool/heat changeover remote control switch isinstalled and the display shows (change-over undercentralized control), this is because cool/heat changeover iscontrolled by the cool/ heat changeover remote control switch.Ask your dealer where the remote control switch is installed.Symptom 3: Fan operation is possible, but cooling and heatingdo not work Immediately after the power is turned on. The micro computer isgetting ready to operate and is performing a communicationcheck with all indoor units. Please wait 12 minutes (max.) till thisprocess is finished. Only fan operation is possible. This is because the interlockcontact point is not turned ON. Check that the water pump isoperating. This is because the inlet water temperature of theheat source water is beyond the operating conditions.CAUTIONPay attention to the fan.It is dangerous to inspect the unit while the fan is running.Be sure to turn off the main switch before executing anymaintenance task.(1) Contact your installer or maintenance person to clean air filtersand casings of the indoor unit. Maintenance tips andprocedures for cleaning are provided in the installation/operation manuals of dedicated indoor units.
