Local control panel .The Local Control Panel can be used to operate theMCD3000 when in local control mode.1. Numeric DisplayDuring operation the display can show eithermotor current (Amps) or motor temperature (%) ascalculated by the MCD3000 motor thermal model.The information being displayed is indicated bythe LEDs to the right of the display, and can bechanged using the [+/-] buttons.In the event of a trip the display shows the tripcode. Refer to the Fault Procedure section of thismanual.ATTENTIONIf motor current exceeds the maximum currentable to be shown on the numeric display, thedisplay will show dashes.---2. Starter Status LEDs• Start: Voltage is being applied to the motor• Run: Full voltage is being applied to themotor.• Trip: The starter has tripped.• Remote: The MCD3000 is in remote controlmode. The local [START],[STOP],[RESET]push buttons are not operative.3. Operational buttons.Can be used to control operation when theMCD3000 is in local mode. Switch between localand remote modes using the [LOCAL/REMOTE]push button.ATTENTIONPar. 20 Local / Remote Mode can be set toprohibit either local or remote mode operation.If the [LOCAL/REMOTE] button is used in an attemptto switch to a prohibited mode the numeric display willshow 'OFF'.Also, operation of the [LOCAL/REMOTE] push buttoncan be restricted to when the motor is stopped. In thiscase pushing the [LOCAL/REMOTE] push buttonresults in the numeric display showing 'OFF'.ATTENTIONWhen control power is applied the MCD3000may be in either local or remote modeaccording to the mode it was in when control powerwas removed. The factory setting is local control.ATTENTIONSimultaneously pressing the [STOP] and[RESET] buttons causes the MCD3000 toimmediately remove voltage from the motor resulting ina coast to stop. Any soft stop or D.C.Brake settingsare ignored.4. Programming ButtonsRefer to the Programming Section of this manual.5. Remote Control Input Status LEDsIndicate the state of the circuits connected acrossthe MCD3000 remote control inputs.ATTENTIONWhen control power is applied to theMCD3000, all LEDs and Numeric Displaysegments are illuminated for approximately 1 secondto test their operation.
