7.3 Replacement of Safety Option7.3.1 Before Removing the Safety OptionProcedure1. Save all parameters of the safety option, see VLT® Motion Control Tool MCT 10 Operating Guide.2. Duplicate the existing device setting.7.3.2 Removing the Safety OptionContext:N O T I C EThe drive generates an error message after removing the safety option.N O T I C EIf the removed safety option is installed in another drive, the drive issues a warning for safety option parameter selection. Selectthe safety configuration from either the drive or from the safety option.Procedure1. Disconnect all power (power stage supply voltage and controller supply) before plugging in or removing the option.2. Verify that no voltage is present.3. Remove the safety option according to the instructions in the chapter Installation in the VLT AutomationDrive FC 302 OperatingGuide.7.3.3 Replacing the Safety OptionContext:W A R N I N GSHOCK HAZARDAttaching or removing the safety option while the soft starter is connected to mains voltage may cause personal injury.- Before attaching or removing the safety option, isolate the drive from mains voltage.N O T I C EAlarm 67, Option Change informs that a change of the drive hardware configuration has occurred after a power-up. Thissituation can occur after installing/removing an option, or if an option is defect.
