If you still cannot isolate theproblem, the internal power supply may be defective.Verify that all system components have been properlyinstalled. If one or more components appear to bemalfunctioning (such as the power cord or networkcabling), test them in an alternate environment whereyou are sure that all the other components arefunctioning properly.IN-BANDACCESSYou can access the management agent in the switch fromanywhere within the attached network using Telnet, aweb browser. However, you must first configure theswitch with a valid IP address, subnet mask, and defaultgateway. If you have trouble establishing a link to themanagement agent, check to see if you have a validnetwork connection. Then verify that you entered thecorrect IP address. Also, be sure the port through whichyou are connecting to the switch has not been disabled. Ifit has not been disabled, then check the network cablingthat runs between your remote location and the switch.N OTE: The management agent accepts up to four simultaneousTelnet sessions. If the maximum number of sessions alreadyexists, an additional Telnet connection will not be able to loginto the system.
