HD / SD Recorder HDR-7016Special Record FunctionsTime lapse recordingTime lapse can be a useful I-FRAME onlyrecording option when studying changes in asubject over a long period of time such as in largescale building projects or scientific studies or evento create artistic animations.Use the LCD menu path [MENU] > SETUP >RECORD SETUP > TIME-LAPSE SETUP toconfirm your choice from:TIME LAPSE ON/OFFIf the setting is OFF then normal recording modeand settings will be used.If the setting is ON then an I-Frame only recordingmode should be chosen and the next recordsession will be based on the following settings.SET TIME LAPSE FRAMEThis setting controls the amount frames of videocaptured when the time lapse cycle/interval point isreached. From 1 up to 15 frames can be captured.Once the required value is selected, press MENUto exit this setting.SET TIME LAPSE CYCLEThis setting defines the amount/cycle of timeelapsed between video being captured. This canbe any time value between 1 second and 59minutes 59 seconds.Once the required value is selected, press MENUto exit this setting.Example:If SET TIMELAPSE FRAME is set to 2 frames andSET TIMELAPSE CYCLE is set to 15 secondsthen the HDR-70 will display:CYCLE: 02 FRM / 15 SSo 2 frames [FRM] of video will be added to thecurrent BIN after each 15 second [S] cycle until therecording session is stopped.Note: This mode is saved when power isinterrupted. This process resumes if power andvideo are both restored. See Power On AutoRecord function also.Note: A new clip is only created at the beginningof a time lapse recording.Power on auto recordIf this option is enabled when the unit is poweredon the recorder will begin recording immediately.The current BIN and the last record setup usedbefore the recorder was switched off will be usedfor the next recording.
