4!Inadequate and/or unauthorised use of the treadmill is not allowed and wewarn you expressly against it.All connection cables (power supply cable, data interface cable, etc) must besecurely installed and routed. You must make sure that no one could stumbleor fall down on them. All the safety and usage instructions in this user manual must be most careful-ly respected. In particular all the instruction about maintenance and technicalsafety checks. In the case of a detected, or even only suspected, fault or defect, the treadmillmust be put out of service for safety reasons, and clear visible sign mustbe posted to that effect. This is to prevent it from being used inadvertently. You should then contact the technical customer service department of daumelectronic gmbh.Failure to comply with the safety prescriptions can cause injuries or death.Oil and other maintenance products, as well as parts of the device and of theaccessories, are not suitable for consumption. Therefore you should keepthem away from the reach of children and animals.Warning! The manufacturer is not liable for personal physical injuries or ma-terial damages. When coupling many devices, care must be taken to avoid any danger ari-sing from the summation of the leakage currents and to ensure the potentialequalisation is effected through a common current (power) supply (e.g. a wallsocket-outlet). If you have any questions please ask your dealer or the servicedepartment of daum electronic gmbh.If a socket with multiple outlets is installed after the initial start-up, no otherdevice may be connected to this socket. (use covers on the multiple sockets).Only cables certified by daum electronic gmbh may be used to connect thedevice with other devices.A electrical shock hazard exists when touching devices that are not separatelygrounded.Defective or faulty devices and accessories may not be used. The personal computer and all other connected devices (e.g. monitor, printer, etc) must be installed at least 1.5m away from the training place, because lea-kage currents could be generated on the housing (or use separate grounding, housing leakage current). The device is not suited for operation in rooms and / or areas with explosionrisks.Cellular telephones may not be used in the direct vicinity of the device, theymay interfere with its functionality.Electromagnetic interference are primarily characterised by the oscillation ofthe displayed load value. If the displayed value varies often uncontrollably thiscan be an effect of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).Treadmill ergometers are not suited for operation in rooms and / or areas withexplosion risks or in a combustive atmosphere. The devices may not be ope-rated in the near vicinity of e.g. motors or transformers with big electrical con-nections because electric or magnetic fields may disturb or deactivate somefunctions. The vicinity of high voltage cables is also to be avoided.Unless otherwise specified in the accompanying documentation and deliverydocuments, all the devices are designed to be used in the usual closed condi-tions under the climate conditions considered normal:Temperature:+ 10°... +40° CThe devices must therefore be protected against particular humidity effects.Ventilation opening must not be covered in order to avoid restricting the circu-lation of air. Storage temperature range: -20°C .....+50°C.Technical specificationThe ergo_run classic may not be used if the certifications/approval and thedefined safety standards do not comply with the local prescriptions. The localcountry specifications must be compared with those of the device before usingthe device and the device may only be used if they comply with each other.Supplying power to the device:The ergo_run classic must be connected to a 230Volt 50 Hz AC socket outlet. This outlet must be protected by a 16 amperes fuse (C type). Before connecting the device to the power outlet socket, proceed with a careful visual examination of the power cordand its plug to make sure they a free of damage. A damagedcord and/or plug must immediately be replaced by an aut-horised person. Before connecting the ergo_run to the local power supply compare the spe-cifications concerning voltage and frequency indicated on the nameplate withyour local power supply specifications. You may not connect the device be-fore doing this comparison. The connection to the power supply socket must be done directly to the wallsocket. The usage of extension cords and/or multiplier socket is not allowed.Power surges or power failure may cause the device to mal-function and/or become defective, as well as to a completeshutdown of the ergo_run. In order to restart the device inthis case you must switch the device OFF by means of themains switch and wait for the ON/OFF interval (about 1 - 2minutes). Then you can restart the device.Mains Voltage 230 VoltBecause of new regulations the mains voltage must be specified in the formof a definite value. Consequently, the mains voltage values indicated with atolerance from 220 to 240 Volt will be restricted for all the ergometers of daumelectronic to the single mains voltage value of 230 Volt.Mains Power SupplyIn order to avoid all hazards any damages to the connection cable to themains power supply or to the On/Off switch must immediately be repaired, orreplaced with new parts, by the manufacturer, the customer service depart-ment of the manufacturer, or similarly qualified service personnel.Forbidden UseAutomatic operations (remote controlled from a computer) is forbidden, whenthe health and the physical condition of the user do not allow this usage.
