This could damage the machine.• Never use more than 1 level measure (D2) as it could soilthe inside of the coffee machine or block the funnel (A4).• When using pre-ground coffee, only one cup can be madeat a time.1. Press the button (C6) until " " (ground) isdisplayed.2. Open the pre-ground coffee funnel lid (A2).3. Make sure the funnel(A4) is not blocked, then add one levelmeasure of pre-ground coffee (fig. 12).4. Place a cup under the coffee spouts (A9).5. Then select your required coffee:• ESPRESSO• LONG• COFFEE6. Preparation begins. An image of the selected beverageappears on the display, together with a progress bar whichgradually fills as preparation proceeds.Once the coffee has been delivered, the machine will be readyfor further use.Important! Making LONG coffee:Halfway through preparation, the message "ADD GROUND COF-FEE" "MAX. ONE MEASURE" is displayed. Add one level measureof pre-ground coffee and press .7.5 Adjusting the coffee millThe coffee mill is set by default to prepare coffee correctly andshould not require regulating initially.However, if after making the first few coffees you find that thecoffee is either too weak and not creamy enough or delivery istoo slow (a drop at a time), this can be corrected by adjustingthe grinding adjustment dial (A5) (fig. 13).Please note!The grinding adjustment dial must only be turned when thecoffee mill is in operation during the initial phase of coffeepreparation.If the coffee is delivered too slowly or notat all, turn one click clockwise towards 7.For fuller bodied creamier coffee, turnone click anticlockwise towards 1 (donot turn more than one click at a timeotherwise the coffee could be delivereda drop at a time).These adjustments will only be evident after at least 2 cups ofcoffee have been delivered. If this adjustment does not producethe desired result, turn the dial another click.7.6 Tips for a hotter coffeeFor hotter coffee, proceed as follows:• perform a rinse cycle by selecting the "Rinsing" function inthe settings menu (section "6.3 Rinse ");• warm the cups with hot water using the hot water function(see section"10. DDelivering hot water");• increase the coffee temperature in the settings menu" "(C3) (see section "6.9 Coffee temperature ").8. MAKING CAPPUCCINOS AND MILK-BASED COFFEESPlease note!To avoid milk with poor froth or large bubbles, always clean themilk container lid (E2) and hot water connection nozzle (A8)as described in sections "8.4 Cleaning the milk container afteruse", "13.10 Cleaning the milk container" and "13.11 Cleaningthe hot water nozzle".
