The replacement kit for thesystem board includes a CD that provides a utility for transferring the Service Tag to the replacement system board.Removing the System Board1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.2. Remove installed cards from the ExpressCard slot.3. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery).4. Remove the module cover (see Removing the Module Cover).5. Remove the memory modules (see Removing the Memory Module(s)).6. Remove the Mini-Card (see Removing the Mini-Card).7. Remove the coin-cell battery (see Removing the Coin-Cell Battery).8. Remove the center control cover (see Removing the Center Control Cover).9. Remove the keyboard (see Removing the Keyboard).10. Remove the hard drive (see Removing the Hard Drive).11. Remove the palm rest (see Removing the Palm Rest).12. Remove the Bluetooth card (see Removing the Bluetooth Card).13. Remove the speakers (see Removing the Speakers).14. Remove the processor fan (see Removing the Processor Fan).15. Disconnect the display cable and the camera cable from their respective system board connectors.WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer.
