It also lists regulatoryinformation about the system.Safety InstructionsUse the following safety guidelines to help protect your computer from potentialdamage and to help ensure your own personal safety.When Using Your ComputerAs you use your computer, observe the following safety guidelines.CAUTION: Do not allow your computer to operate with the base restingdirectly on exposed skin. With extended operation, heat can potentiallybuild up in the base. Allowing sustained contact with the skin could causediscomfort or, eventually, a burn.• Do not attempt to service the computer yourself. Always follow installationinstructions closely.• Do not carry a battery pack in your pocket, purse, or other container where metalobjects (such as car keys) could short-circuit the battery terminals. The resultingexcessive current flow can cause extremely high temperatures and may result indamage from burns.• Be sure that nothing rests on your adapter’s power cable and that the cable is notlocated where it can be tripped over or stepped on.• Place the AC adapter in a ventilated area, such as a desk top or on the floor,when powering the computer or charging the battery. Do not cover the ACadapter with papers or other items that will reduce cooling. Do not use the ACadapter inside a carrying case.• Do not use your computer in a wet environment, for example, near a bath tub,sink, or swimming pool or in a wet basement.• Do not push objects into air vents or openings of your computer. Doing so cancause fire or electric shock by shorting out interior components.
