Dell™ PowerEdge™ R610 Technical Guidebook41e. leD indicatorsEach disk drive carrier has two LED indicators visible from the front of the system. One is a green LEDfor disk activity and the other is a bicolor (green/amber) LED for status information. The activity LED isdriven by the disk drive during normal operation. The bicolor LED is controlled by the SEP device on thebackplane. Both LEDs are used to indicate certain conditions under direction of a storage controller.f. Optical DrivesSATA optical drives are optional in all PowerEdge R610 systems and connect to the planar. IDE drives areno longer supported. The following slimline drives are available on Thidwick: DVD-ROM and DVD+RW. Ifthe drive is not ordered with the system, a blank should be installed in its place.G. tape DrivesThe R610 does not support an internal tape drive. The PowerEdge R610 only supports external tapedrives; see the SDL for more information about specific external TBU support.sectiOn 13. viDeOa. Overview / DescriptionThe PowerEdge R610 system Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller 6 (iDRAC6) incorporates anintegrated video subsystem, connected to the 32-bit PCI interface of the ICH9. This logic is based onthe Matrox G200. The device only supports 2D graphics. The video device outputs are multiplexedbetween the front and rear video ports. If a monitor is connected to the front video connector, it willtake precedence over the rear connection, thereby removing the display from the rear connection. Theintegrated video core shares its video memory with the iDRAC6’s 128MB DDR2 application spacememory. This memory is also used for the KVM buffer. The Thidwick system supports the following 2D graphics video modes:ResOlutiOn RefResh Rate (hz) cOlOR DePth (bit)640 x 480 60, 72, 75, 85 8, 16, 32800 x 600 56, 60, 72, 75, 85 8, 16, 321024 x 768 60, 72, 75, 85 8, 16, 321152 x 864 75 8, 16, 321280 x 1024 60, 75, 85 8, 161280 x 1024 60 32sectiOn 14. auDiOa.
