To install theSun java plug-in, go to http:\\java.sun.com, download JRE 1.4.2 or later (1.4.x), and follow the instructionson screen.Virtual Media Dialog BoxThe Virtual Media dialog box allows you to connect a diskette device, a USB device, or a CD/DVDdevice to a target server. When you have connected a device, you will be able to see it from theremote console through the video viewer. You may then operate the device normally through thevideo viewer session. (See "Using the Video Viewer"). The device will behave as if it is physicallyattached to that server.1 From your browser, type in the correct URL to bring up the DRAC/MC interface.See the DRAC/MC documentation for details.2 Click on DRAC/MC on the left side of the DRAC interface to open the menu beneath it.3 Select Media.4 To access a server from the list of servers, click the button that represents the server you wouldlike to view.If you are already connected to another server, first disconnect from that server by clickingDetach at the bottom of the display.5 Click the Attach button at the bottom of the display.When the system has successfully made the selection, the Launch Application button willbecome active.6 Click the Launch Application button.The virtual media dialog box will appear.Connecting a Generic Mass Storage DeviceThe Floppy Drive panel allows you to select a floppy or USB device from a list of all client floppyand removable USB drives. You can also select the Floppy Image option that allows you to browseto the location of your chosen floppy image file. If you do not want to select either of these optionsyou can select the None option.NOTE: Only one generic mass storage device can be selected at any one time. The selected device isnot connected until you click Connect.
