Before the diagnostics loads into memory, aprogram tests the random-access memory (RAM) that will be used by thediagnostics.If no errors are found in RAM, the diagnostics loads, and the Diagnostics menuappears (see Figure 5-1). The menu allows you to run all or specific diagnostic tests orto exit the Dell Diagnostics.For a quick check of the system, select the Run Quick Tests option. This option runsonly the subtests that do not require user interaction and that do not take a long timeto run. Dell recommends that you choose this option first to increase the odds of trac-ing the source of the problem quickly. For a complete check of the system, select theRun All Tests option. To check a particular area of the system, select the RunSpecific Tests option.
