Installing the Control Panel1. Connect the control-panel cable to the control-panel assembly. See Figure C-1.2. Lower the control-panel assembly into the system and align it with the front panel.3. Secure the control-panel assembly to the system front panel with the three control-panel securing screws.4. Ensure that the control-panel cable is secure in its retaining clip on the chassis.5. Install fan 1. See "Installing a System Fan" in "Installing System Components."6. Close the system. See "Closing the System" in "Troubleshooting Your System."7. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.Fan Interposer BoardRemoving a Fan Interposer Board1. Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.2. Open the system. See "Opening the System" in "Troubleshooting Your System."3. Remove all SCSI hard drives. See "Removing a SCSI Hard Drive" in "Installing Drives."4. Remove the optical drive/diskette drive carrier.To remove the drive carrier, pull the release latch forward, then slide the carrier out of the chassis. See Figure 7-3.5.
