This switch is activated as soon as the system cover is removed andaccess is made to the interior of your system.Removing The Chassis Intrusion SwitchCAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from theelectrical outlet and peripherals.2. Open the system.3. Disconnect the chassis intrusion switch cable from the system board.4. Unwind the wire from the cable-routing hook.5. Slide the chassis intrusion switch out of the chassis intrusion switch slot and lift it away from thechassis.Figure 7.
