To change the resolution, check the documentation that came with your monitor to determine the resolutions and refresh ratessupported by the monitor. Dell OpenManage IT Assistant provides information you may need if you call Dell for technical assistance or if youinstall hardware or software in the system. See the appropriatesubsection that follows for your operating system.Reinstalling Windows NT 4.0To reinstall the Windows NT 4.0 operating system, you must have the following items:l The Dell Precision ResourceCDl Windows NT 4.0 CD from Delll Windows NT 4.0 SCSI controller driver diskettesl Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 or later CDNOTE: Some video cards support the Windows NT 4.0 operating system only. Refer to the documentation that came withyour video card for more information.NOTE: The Dell Precision ResourceCD is bootable, and contains a special utility that aids in the reinstallation of Windows NT 4.0 (see"Boot Sequence" for instructions to change the boot sequence for your system, or see the Dell ResourceCD User's Guide).NOTICE: The integrated SCSI controller and RAID solution are not part of the Windows NT 4.0 operating system. Therefore, whenyou manually reinstall Windows NT 4.0, you must exit the installation process by pressing when the system displays thefollowing message:Setup is inspecting your hardware configuration.You must then install the SCSI controller drivers as described in "Using the Integrated SCSI Controllers," and then proceed withinstalling the other supplemental items. If you do not interrupt the installation procedure, the system does not identify the AIC-7899SCSI controller and locks up.
