Remove the base cover (see Removing the Base Cover).3. Remove the battery (see Removing the Battery).4. Remove the coin-cell battery (see Removing the Coin-Cell Battery).5. Remove the four screws that secure the optical drive to the palm-rest assembly.6. Slide and lift the optical drive out of the palm-rest assembly.7. Remove the four screws (two on each side) that secure the optical-drive brackets to the optical drive.8.
