Getting Started Connections Playback SpecificationsBasic Operations Utility• If the memo operation is possible for the deck on the side for which memo operation is set, the memooperation can be executed even when the deck on the other side is playing.• If the same track is selected for the deck on the other side, however, or if you attempt to switch to thesame track, the memo operation cannot be executed.• Furthermore, if while the memo operation is being executed you attempt to search and play thetrack for which the memo operation is being performed on the other deck, searching is canceled andplayback is stopped.The data stored in the memory is as follows:a) Cue pointb) A and B points, HOT START1 point, HOT START2 point, HOT START3 pointc) Playing pitch, pitch on/off, Key Adjust on/off settingd) BPM data (Cue, A point)• The point data is limited to data within the same file when using a USB memory device.• The “MEMO” indicator on the display lights up when a file for which data is storing within a file isselected.• The memo function cannot be used with VBR files.e For the playlist playback mode• The memo data is stored in the playlist file itself, so when transporting playlist files in which the memodata has been stored and playing them on a different DN-S3700, that data can be called out andused.• Memo data can be stored a total of times equal to the number of files registered in the playlist.• For example, if 74 files are registered in a playlist, 74 bits of memo data can be stored in that playlist.The data stored in the memory is as follows:a) Cue pointb) A and B points, HOT START1 point, HOT START2 point, HOT START3 pointc) Playing pitch, pitch on/off, Key Adjust on/off settingd) BPM data (Cue, A point)• The A and B points may be on different files, as long as they are within the playlist.• The memo data can be used in the same way as with conventional CDs.• The “MEMO” indicator on the display lights up when a file for which data is storing within a file isselected.• The memo function cannot be used with VBR files.Memo Mode Selectq Push the MEMO button during Cue mode to enter MEMO mode.w Turn the PARAMETERS knob to select the various MEMO modes from as follows.Memo Set (default), Memo Call, Memo ClearDepending on conditions, some modes cannot be selected.e Push the MEMO button again to exit MEMO mode.(1) Storing data in the memory [Memo Set]• After making the settings to be storing within a file, then push the CUE button.• When the “MEMO” indicator in the display is off during CUE mode, push the MEMO button to enableMemo set function.• If the “MEMO” indicator lights up, it is necessary to clear existing Memo before storing a newMemo.• At last push the PARAMETERS button to save. You can see “Complete!” message and the “MEMO”indicator lights up.• When the Memo Set function cannot be used, check the remaining space on the device.It may not be possible to store data in the memory if there is too little space left.It may not be possible to store memo data when the remaining memory space is low.• When the memory is full, “Memo Full” or “Delete 1000?” appears.
