Wait five (5) minutes to clear out any gas.Then smell for gas, including near thefloor. If you smell gas, STOP! Follow “B”in the safety information, column 1. If youdon’t smell gas, go to the next step.8. Turn control knob counterclockwiseto the PILOT position.9. Push in knob all the way and hold in.Immediately light the pilot manually. Con-tinue to hold control knob in for about oneminute after pilot is lit. Release knob andit will pop back up. Pilot should remain lit.If it goes out, repeat steps 5 through 9.• If knob does not pop up when released,stop and immediately call your servicetechnician or gas supplier.• If the pilot will not stay lit after severaltries, turn the gas control knob to OFFand call your service technician or gassupplier.10. Turn gas control knob counterclockwiseto O”. Knob can be turned to ONonly if the control knob is popped out.11. Replace front refractory brick accesspanel.12. Fully close glass doors if installed.13.
