You must provide two perma-nent openings: one within 12" of the ceilingand one within 12" of the floor. Connect theseitems directly to the outdoors or spaces opento the outdoors. These spaces include atticsand crawl spaces. Follow the National FuelGas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, Section5.3, Air for Combustion and Ventilation forrequired size of ventilation grills or ducts.IMPORTANT: Do not provide openings forinlet or outlet air into attic if attic has a thermo-stat-controlled power vent. Usethis heater along with your primaryheating system. Do not install thisheater as your primary heat source.If you have a central heating system,you may run system’s circulatingblower while using heater. This willhelp circulate the heat throughoutthe house. In the event of a poweroutage, you can use this heater asyour primary heat source.WARNING: A qualified ser-vice person must install heater.Follow all local codes.CHECK GAS TYPEUse only the correct type of gas (natural orpropane/LP). If your gas supply is not the correctgas type, do not install heater. Call dealer whereyou bought heater for proper type heater.This appliance is only for use withthe type of gas indicated on the rat-ing plate. This appliance is not con-vertible for use with other gases.WARNING: This applianceis equipped for (natural or pro-pane/LP) gas.
