30Troubleshooting ReferenceWARNING: Electric shock hazardDo not remove the cover of the Duracell ® Powerpack ordisassemble the Duracell ® Powerpack except to replacethe internal battery. The Duracell ® Powerpack does notcontain any internal user-serviceable parts and attemptingto service the unit yourself could result in electrical shockor burn.Table 5-1 Troubleshooting referenceProblem Possible Cause SolutionAC appliancewill notoperateAC appliance rated morethan 300 W: the safetyoverload has tripped.Use an AC appliance with apower rating less than 300 W.AC appliance is rated lessthan 300 W: high startingsurge has tripped thesafety overload.AC appliance may exceed theDuracell ® Powerpack’s surgecapability. Use an AC appliancewith a starting surge within theDuracell ® Powerpack surgerating.Battery has discharged to10.5 V.Turn OFF the AC Power ON/OFF switch and recharge theDuracell ® Powerpack.Duracell ® Powerpack hasoverheated due to poorventilation or excessivelywarm environmentalconditions.Turn the AC Power ON/OFFswitch OFF and allow theDuracell ® Powerpack to coolfor 15 minutes or more. Clearblocked opening or removeobjects covering the unit,then restart the Duracell ®Powerpack and move it to acooler environment.Overload shutdown Appliance powerrequirements exceedthe capability of theDuracell ® Powerpack.Unplug the appliance andconfirm that the appliance’spower requirement is 300 Wor less before attempting torestart the appliance. |
