To reduce the risk of scald injury,it is mandatory under the requirementsof Australian Standard AS/NZS3500.4.2that a suitably approved temperaturecontrol device be fitted to the hot watersupply to outlets used primarily forpersonal hygiene. This valve should bechecked at regular intervals to ensure itsoperation and settings remain correct.
