Youshould use this feature only when you want to de-energize the critical load.4. Select Yes or no, then press the RETURN pushbutton.Selecting Yes will immediately shut down the UPS and de-energize the critical load. Selecting No will abortthe shutdown.5. If another UPS is to be shut down, proceed to that UPS and repeat Step 1 through Step 4.CAUTIONDo not attempt to restart the system after Load Off until the cause of the shutdown has beenidentified and cleared.6. To restart the UPS after pressing the LOAD OFF pushbutton, follow the procedure in paragraph 6.4.1 or6.4.2.WARNINGPower is present inside the UPS cabinet after the upstream input feeder circuit breakers areopened because of the installed internal batteries.6.4.13 Using the Remote Emergency Power-off SwitchA UPS emergency power-off is initiated by the REPO pushbutton switch. In an emergency, you can use thisswitch to control the UPS output. The REPO switch de-energizes the critical load and powers down the UPSsimmediately, without asking for verification.The UPSs, including Bypass, remains off until restarted.CAUTIONAll power to the critical load is lost when the REPO switch is activated in the following step. Youshould use this feature only when you want to de-energize the critical load.To use the REPO switch:1. Firmly push the red pushbutton until it locks into place. The switch latches into the activated state(see Figure 6-8).The rectifier, inverter, battery, and bypass switchgear open, and the power module is turned offimmediately, without asking for verification.CAUTIONDo not attempt to restart the system after the REPO until the cause of the shutdown has beenidentified and cleared.NOTE The following instructions are for the Eaton-supplied REPO switch. If acustomer-supplied REPO switch is used, it may not activate in the same manner;refer to the operating instructions provided with the switch.
