4O & M ManualEATON JOCKEY LITE MN124001EN June 2018 www.eaton.com2.4.3 Motor circuit protector / overload relay trip settingThe trip setting should be set to match the motor nameplatefull load amps.2.4.4 Circuit breaker trip settingsWhen a Circuit Breaker is installed, the trip setting must beset as indicated on the chart on the inside of the controller.2.4.5 Run period timer (optional)Adjust the run period timer dial to the desired run timesetting. Three rotary adjustment dials are provided on thefront of the timer.(Ws) Single shot - leading edge with control inputThe supply voltage, U, must be constantly applied to thedevice (green LED U/t illuminated). When the control contact, S, is closed, the output relay, R,switches into the “on” position (green LED U/t illuminated)and the set interval begins (green LED U/t flashes). After the interval has expired (green LED U/t illuminated),the output relay switches to to the “off” position (yellowLED not illuminated).During the interval, the control contact can be operated anynumber of times.A future cycle can only be started when the cycle run hasbeen completed.2.4.6 Pressure switch setting instructionsBefore attempting to set the pressure switch, de-energizethe jockey pump controller by opening the motor circuitprotector or the circuit breaker. This is done for safety andso that the jockey pump will not start and interfere with theadjustment procedure.1. Set the differential adjustment on the pressure switchto minimum by turning the differential adjusting screwfully counter clockwise. Set the operating pressure to wellbelow the required pump starting pressure. Turn the rangeadjusting screw clockwise to reduce the pressure andobserve the scale on the switch.2. Bleed the fire protection water system until the pressureis reduced to the required pump starting pressure. Hold thispressure by closing the drain valve.3. Slowly rotate the range adjusting screw counterclockwise until a click is heard from the pressure switch. The switch is now set to the required pump startingpressure.4. If it is necessary to re-adjust the differential, the operatingpressure of the switch will also be changed and should bereset.ote:N The cut-in (start point) pressure is the cut-out (rangeadjusting setting) pressure minus the differentialsetting.
