Commission theSystemInstall Detectors and Other Peripherals1. Use the Installer Menu to teach the systemthe identity of any radio detectors or otherperipherals. (Note that you must have a radioexpander already connected and installed onthe bus to do this.) See the installationinstructions supplied with each detector orperipheral.2. Install detectors and peripherals at theirselected locations.3. Use the Installer Menu – Test (see Chapter5) option to:a) carry out a walk test of the detectors.b) test the operation of any other peripherals.Program the SystemProgram the system to suit user requirements.Page 30 is a summary of the Installer Menu onthe Menvier300. For more information see“Assigning Wired Keypads to Wards” in theMenvier40/100/300 Engineering Guide.Assemble and close the control unit:a) Fit the lid of the control unit into the back ofthe case (see Fig 50).b) Fit and tighten the lid fixing screw.NOTE: It is possible, for convenience, to placelinks over tamper contacts to inhibit tamper alarmduring installation. Because of this feature makesure you test all lid tampers before completinginstallations, to ensure that no links are left fitted.Figure 50 Replacing the control unit lid.Leave the Installer Menu.The red LEDs should go out, and the rim ofthe navigation keys glow green.
