24Maintenance and care15/25-Hour MaintenanceGearcase lubrication1. Clean dirt from grease fitting.2. Lubricate the cutter assembly gearbox by pumping one ortwo strokes of urea-base grease into the grease fitting usinga lever-type grease gun.Drive shaft lubrication1. Loosen the gearcase clamp bolt.2. Remove the index bolt from gearcase.3. Remove the outer tube from the gear housing.4. Pull the drive shaft from the outer tube, and wipe clean. Re-coat with a thin coating 15 mL of grease.5. Slide the drive shaft back into the outer tube, being carefulnot to get dirt on the drive shaft.6. Align the screw hole in gear case with the locating hole inouter tube, install and tighten index bolt, and tighten gear-case clamp bolt.50-Hour MaintenanceCylinder cooling fins Remove and clean the cylinder cover and clean dirt and debrisfrom the cylinder cooling fins.1.
