14Cleaning your cookerBefore thorough cleaning, isolate from theelectricity supply. Remember to switch on theelectricity supply before use.Never use paint solvents, washing soda,caustic cleaners, biological powders, bleach,chlorine based bleach cleaners, coarseabrasives or salt. Don’t mix different cleaningproducts - they may react together withhazardous results. Do not use a steam cleaneron your cooker.If you want to move your cooker for cleaning,see the section called ‘Moving your cooker’.All parts of the cooker can be cleaned withhot soapy water - but take care that no surpluswater seeps into the appliance.Stainless Steel HobLift away pots or pans from hob. Remove pansupports from spillage area and carefully placein a sink of warm soapy water. Wipe loosedebris from hob.Avoid using any abrasive cleaners includingcream cleaners, e.g. Cif, on brushed StainlessSteel surfaces. For best results use a liquiddetergent e.g. Domestos Multi Surface Cleaner.Rinse with cold water and thoroughly drywith a clean, soft cloth. Ensure all parts are drybefore repositioning.Hotplate burnersThe burner heads and caps can be removedfor cleaning. Make sure they are absolutely drybefore replacing.Burner headBurner BaseWhen fitting burner head, ensure this locatesproperly within the base.Check burner ports are not blocked. If blockageoccurs, remove stubborn particles using apiece of fuse wire.Glide-Out™GrillBefore you remove any of the grill parts forcleaning make sure that they are cool.The grill pan and grid should be washed in hotsoapy water. After grilling meats or any foodsthat soil, leave to soak for a few minutes in thesink immediately after use. Stubborn particlesmay be removed from the grid by using anylon brush. Alternatively the grill pan can bewashed in a dish washerTo remove the grill pan support frame, pull thegrill pan forward.Lift the grill pan clear of the support frame.The support frame is held to the side rails bytwo clips on each side.For each side , support the side rail with onehand and with the other hand lift the frame upand out of the side clips.
