Servicingnn BEFORE SERVICING ANY GAS CARRYINGCOMPONENTS TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLYnn Check the appliance is gas sound after completionof service. When checking for gas leaks DO NOT usewashing up liquid – this can corrode. Use a productspecifically manufactured for leak detection.nn DO NOT use reconditioned or unauthorised gascontrols.nn Disconnect from the electricity supply beforeservicing, particularly before removing any of thefollowing: control panel, side panels, hotplate trayor any electrical components or covers.nn Before electrical reconnection, check that theappliance is electrically safe.1 Panels1.1 To Remove the Control PanelDISCONNECT FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.Classic – Removing the Control PanelRemove the handrail. Now remove the 2 cross-headedscrews hidden behind the handrail end brackets(Fig.9-1).Pull off all the control knobs and remove the fixingscrews underneath the control panel.Lift the control panel and pull forwards, taking care notto damage or strain the wiring.Toledo – Removing the Control PanelPull off all the control knobs and remove the fixingscrews underneath the control panel.Slide the control panel to the right and then pullforwards, taking care not to damage or strain the wiring.1.2 To Remove the Side PanelsDISCONNECT FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.Remove the control panel (see 1.1). Pull the cookerforward. Remove the 4 retaining screws for each panel(1 at the front base, 1 on the top and 2 at the rear).Reassemble in the reverse order.2 Hotplatenn BEFORE SERVICING ANY GAS CARRYINGCOMPONENTS, TURN OFF THE GAS SUPPLY.2.1 To Remove the HotplatePull the cooker forward to gain access to the rear.Left-hand trayFrom the rear remove the screws securing the flue grillto the hotplate tray.
