Ovens5.1 To Replace an Oven ThermostatDisconnect from the electricity supply.Lift the ceramic hob and remove the control panel (see 1.1 &2.1). Open the oven door. Remove the oven furniture.For the right-hand oven, remove the thermostat phial cover(two screws). Unclip the thermostat phial from the clips in theoven back.For the left-hand oven, pull cooker forward to gain accessto the cover box at the rear of the cooker. Remove the fourscrews securing the cover and lift clear.Feed the thermostat capillary out of the oven. Disconnectthe wiring from the thermostat. Remove two screws holdingthermostat to mounting panel. Fit new thermostat andreassemble in reverse order. Make sure that the phial is clippedto the oven back with the phial centrally positioned betweenthe clips.Check the operation of the thermostat.5.2 To Remove an Oven Element Thermal Cut-outDisconnect from electricity supply.Pull the cooker forward to gain access to the cover box. Undothe cover screws and lift clear. The cut-out is located on theearth plate beside the oven element connections. Disconnectthe cut-out wiring. Undo the fixings that secure the cut-out tothe earth plate and remove. Fit the replacement control andre-assemble in reverse order.5.3 To Remove an Oven Inner BackDisconnect from electricity supply.Open the door and remove the shelves. Remove the screwsand washers securing the inner back to the back of the oven(Fig. 9.2). Carefully lift away the inner back. Reassemble inreverse order making sure that the screws and washers arefully tightened.5.4 To Remove the Fan Oven ElementDisconnect from electricity supply.Remove the oven inner back (see 5.3). Remove the two screwsfrom the top of the element and the one from the bottom ofthe element inside the oven (Fig. 9.3).Lift the element out carefully, disconnecting the terminalsconnected to the element (noting their positions).If it is not possible to disconnect the leads in this way, pull thecooker forward to gain access to the rear.Remove the screws securing the electric cover to the backsheet, remove the cover and disconnect the terminals fromthe rear.5.5 To Replace an Oven FanDisconnect from electricity supply.Pull the cooker forward to gain access to the rear. Removethe screws securing the electric cover to the back sheet andremove the cover.Disconnect the three terminals connected to the fan notingtheir position. Remove the oven inner back (see 5.3).
