24Care and cleaning of the range.Lift-Off Oven DoorThe door is very heavy. Be careful whenremoving and lifting the door. Do not lift doorby the handle.If improperlyremoved, ovendoor hinges may suddenly open and cancause personal injury to appendages nearthe hinge. Follow instructions below toavoid a risk of injury when removing andre-installing the oven door.To remove the door:Fully open the oven door.On each hinge, slide the hinge lock up,making sure it snaps into its fully raisedposition.Firmly grasp both sides of the door at nearthe top.Close door until the top of the door isapproximately 3” from the range frame.Lift door up and away from the range untilboth hinge arms are clear of the slots inthe range frame.To replace the door:Firmly grasp both sides of the door nearthe top.With the door at thesame angle as theremoval position, restthe notch in thebottom of the lefthinge arm on thebottom edge of theleft hinge slot. The notch in the hinge armmust be fully seated onto the bottom ofthe slot. Repeat for the right side.Fully open the door. If the door will not fullyopen, the notches in the bottoms of thehinge arms are not seated correctly ontothe bottom edge of the slot. Lift the dooroff the range and repeat Step 2.Push the hingelocks down tothe lockedpositionClose the ovendoor.Removal positionOven Heating ElementsDo not clean the bake element or the broilelement. Any soil will burn off when theelements are heated.To clean the oven floor, gently lift the bakeelement. On some models, the bake element isnot exposed and is under the oven floor. Cleanwith warm, soapy water.Oven RacksAll oven racks may be cleaned by hand with anabrasive cleaner or steel wool. After cleaning,rinse the racks with clean water and dry witha clean cloth. Gray porcelain-coated ovenracks may remain in the oven during the self-cleaning cycle without being damaged. Theshiny, silver-colored oven racks may remain inthe oven during the self-cleaning cycle, but theywill lose their luster and become hard to slide.It will be necessary to grease all oven rack sideedges with a light coating of vegetable oil aftercleaning them by hand or in the oven. This willhelp maintain the ease of sliding the racks inand out of the oven.Storage Drawer RemovalTo remove the drawer:Pull the drawer out until it stops.Lift the front of the drawer until the stopsclear the guides.Remove the drawer.To replace the drawer:Place the drawer rails on the guides.Push the drawer back until it stops.Lift the front of the drawer and push backuntil the stops clear the guides.Lower the front of the drawer and pushback until it closes.Stop guideRailPull hinge locks up to unlockPush hinge locks down to lockNotchWARNING
