Refrigerant vapor ispumped out the compressor discharge, down thru the drain pan loop, up thru the condenser coil, around thecondenser loop, thru the drier, and into the 3-way valve. By the time the refrigerant has reached the 3-wayvalve, it has completely condensed into a liquid. Depending upon whether the main control board opens the3-way valve to the freezer evaporator or the fresh food and freezer evaporators, refrigerant flows thru theappropriate capillary tube and into the evaporator. As the high pressure liquid passes thru the capillary andenters the low pressure evaporator, it quickly expands and evaporates. During evaporation, the refrigerantabsorbs heat, becoming cold. At the outlet of the freezer evaporator, an accumulator captures anyremaining liquid, allowing only low pressure vapor to return to the compressor thru the suction line.Refrigeration SystemFREEZER SECTION COOLING - Position B(Continued next page)
