– 50 –Convection Heater 5. Set oven for Convection Bake, 350°F. (SeeOperating Modes for set up instructions.)6. Start Convection Bake cycle. While unit isrunning, check resistance between the 2terminals on Relay Board RY12. Note: This steprequires checking resistance of relay contactswhile the unit is running. The convection heaterrelay wires must not be connected to the relaywhen making this check.• If resistance is infinite, the convectionbake relay is not closing. (See Relay Board, troubleshooting step 2.)• If resistance is approximately 0 Ω, go to step 7.7. Check resistance between the single wire (bluewire) that connects to Relay Board RY12 and theoutput of the Primary Interlock Switch (brownand red wires).• If resistance is approximately 9 Ω, seePrimary Interlock Switch, troubleshootingstep 4.• If resistance is infinite, problem is with:◊ Convection Heater, or◊ Convection Heater TCO, or◊ Wiring between the Convection Heaterand Convection Heater TCO, or◊ Wiring between the Primary InterlockSwitch and the Convection Heater TCO, or◊ Wiring between Convection Heater andthe connector that connects to RY12.8. Disconnect Relay Board RY12 connector. Doesheater stay on?• If no, the Relay Board RY12 is stuck on. (SeeRelay Board, troubleshooting section.)• If yes, the neutral wire to heater is shortedto ground.• Location (See Right Side View.)• 1550 Watts• Approximately 13 Amps• Approximately 9 Ω• For operating algorithms, see Convection Heaterin the Load Algorithm Chart.• Disassembly. (See Disassembly.)Troubleshooting1. Does the display operate properly?• If no, see VFD Board, troubleshooting step 1.• If yes, go to step 2.2. Is Convection Heater staying on all the time ornot coming on?• If heater is staying on, go to step 8.• If heater is not coming on, go to step 3.3. Pivot the Control Panel Assembly out from theoven. (See Control Panel Removal.)4. To gain better access to components, removethe wires that plug into the large relays on theRelay Board. (See Relay Board.) Cut the wire tiethat the Smart Board CN103 wire harness (SeeSmart Board.) is routed through.
