(16°C.) because it will not run often enough to maintainproper temperatures.Do install it on a floor strong enough to support it fully loaded.To keep energy costs down, avoid locating the refrigerator next to therange or a heating vent.Care and Cleaning PreparationWhen You go on Vacation When You MoveFor shorter vacations, remove perishable foods and leavecontrols at regular settings. However, if room temperature isexpected to drop below 60°F. (16°C.), follow the same instructionsas for extended vacations.For extended vacations or absences, shut off the power to therefrigerator, move the fresh food control to the “ ” position, andclean the interior with a baking soda solution of one tablespoon(15 ml) of baking soda to one quart (1 L) of water. Wipe dry. Toprevent odors, leave an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator.Leave doors open.Move icemaker feeler arm to STOP (up) position and be sure to shutoff water supply to the refrigerator.Disconnect power cord from wall outlet, remove all food, and cleanand dry the interior.Secure all loose items such as grille, shelves, storage drawers and icetrays by taping them securely in place to prevent damage and raiseleveling legs.Be sure refrigerator stays in upright position during actual moving andin van. Refrigerator must be secured in van to prevent movement.Protect outside of refrigerator with blanket.Rollers and Leveling LegsLeveling legs near each front corner of therefrigerator are adjustable. They firmlyposition the refrigerator and prevent it frommoving when the doors are opened. Levelinglegs should be set so the front of therefrigerator is raised just enough that thedoors close easily when opened abouthalfway.Turn the leveling legs clockwise to raise therefrigerator, counterclockwise to lower it.Rollers next to the leveling legs allow you tomove the refrigerator away from the wall forcleaning.Turn the legs counterclockwise until the weightof the refrigerator is transferred from them tothe rollers.
