GEAppliances.comRefrigerator DoorsThe refrigerator doors may feel differentthan the ones you are used to. The specialdoor opening/closing feature makes sure thedoors close all the way and are securelysealed.When opening and closing the door you willnotice a stop position. If the door is openedpast this stop point, the door will remainopen to allow you to load and unload foodmore easily. When the dooris only partially open, it will automaticallyclose.The resistance you feel at the stopposition will be reduced as the dooris loaded with food.When the door is only partially open,it will automatically close.Beyond this stop the door willstay open.Door AlignmentIf doors are uneven, adjust the refrigeratordoor.Using a 7/16” socket wrench, turn thedoor adjusting screw to the right to raisethe door; to the left, to lower it. (A nylonplug, imbedded in the threads of thepin, prevents the pin from turningunless a wrench is used.)After one or two turns of the wrench,open and close the refrigerator doorand check the alignment at the top ofthe doors.To remove the basegrille, open the doors,remove the screw ateach end of the basegrille and then pullthe grille straight out.7/16” Socket WrenchRaiseSupport LegBefore moving the refrigerator, you will needto screw up the support leg. Once the unit isrelocated, you will need to screw down thesupport leg again.Screw down the supportleg until it touches thefloor. This will preventdoor misalignment.
