– 20 –Toe KickThe toe kick is a decorative panel covering themachine area of the dishwasher. The panelprovides a safety barrier, closing the front of thedishwasher machine compartment. The toe kickprevents injury from electrical components underthe dishwasher. To remove the panel, remove two1/4 in. hex head screws and pull the panel awayfrom the dishwasher.Junction Box and House Wiring ConnectionThe Junction Box is located behind the toe kick onthe right hand side of the dishwasher. The junctionbox is where the 120 VAC house voltage connects tothe dishwasher. The dishwasher may be hardwiredor an optional cord may be installed (availableseparately, Part #: WX09X70910), which plugs intoa wall outlet and connects to the harness plug intothe control (see Installation Guide). The cover is heldin place with a 1/4 in. hex head screw on the leftside, and tab on the right side. To remove the cover,remove the screw and pull out and to left to releasethe tab.The Tub and Structure section of this guide willcover the toe kick, junction box, racks, leveling,door balance, gaskets, trim (some models), maincontrol board, door, door components, as wellas the removing and separation of the screwlessappearance door.
