– 24 –Door Switch AssemblyThe door switch assembly is activated by a spring-loaded plunger that connects or disconnects the line(hot) side of 120 VAC.When the door is in the closed position, the doorlatch presses and holds down the switch plunger onthe door switch assembly. This action holds the doorfirmly against the seal, with the contacts of the doorswitch closed.To remove the door switch assembly:1. Disconnect the power supply to the dishwasher.2. Remove the outer door panel. (See Outer DoorPanel.)4. Remove the 3 Phillips-head screws from thedoor switch.Door HandleThe door handle is held in place by 2 screws thatcan be accessed by removing the console.To remove the door handle:1. Remove the console. (See Lens, steps 1-3.)2. Remove the two 1/4-in. hex-head screwsholding the handle to the outer door (1 on eachside). DisconnectDisconnectDetergent/Rinse ModuleThe inner door panel must be removed to accessthe detergent/rinse module. (See Inner Door Panel. )The detergent/rinse module is connected by 2 wiresand held in place by 6 Phillips-head screws and abracket.The detergent/rinse module operates on 120 VACand has an approximate resistance value of 1.2 to2.8 KBracket(Continued next page)3.
